All the women in my family have super thin hair that gets greasy fast. Thought I was gonna change that cuz I've been into natural haircare for years, less washing, no heat EVER, I've NEVER dyed it and use silk pillows, loose braids and buns, etc. Plus a way healthier diet than the older women in my family. Well it did NOTHING lol. Except it's maybe a liiiittle more shiny than my mom's. That's it. It's still thin, greases fast, and never grows longer than by chest. Each time it does grow past by b00bs, the ends get so frail that I have to trim it back up. Genetics are legit the key. Ofc haircare is great, but you're not gonna change your hairtype ever. If you have thin hair since birth... you have thin hair. Had to admit it to myself🥲💔

Just stop messing with it! My hair was always above my shoulders or just slightly over which never lasted because damage. Got lazy with my hair for 2 years just using a hair claw to keep them out of the way. Nothing special besides washing it once or twice a week, heat once a week at most and leave in conditioners. My hair is almost down to my hips. So I mean if you want long hair deal with it for a bit and leave them alone.

unpopular opinion but when i was regularly (weekly) flat ironing my hair i had the fastest growth and healthiest hair, some parts, the front bang area was the only part that was dry and had breakage. but the heat was stimulating huge growth.
